Patrick M. Kelly

Patrick Kelly is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of Shamrock Capital, Inc., an independent investment management firm dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of investing through disciplined portfolio management and risk management. 

Patrick began his career in the investment business in May 1984 and has guided clients through some of the most significant market events of the past four decades, including the 1987 market crash, the technology bubble, the financial crisis of 2008, and the market disruptions of 2020. 

In 2008, Patrick founded Shamrock Capital during the financial crisis, one of the most challenging periods in modern market history. The firm was built on a simple philosophy: 

Investing by Design, Not by Default. 

Today, he works directly with a select group of individuals and families, providing active portfolio management, ongoing market guidance, and an evidence-based investment process focused on helping preserve and potentially grow wealth over time. 

Patrick believes successful investing is not about predicting the future. It is about making disciplined decisions, managing risk, and adapting as market conditions change. 

Patrick is a fee-only investment professional and holds the Series 65 registration. Through his professional affiliations, he is able to work with clients throughout the United States. 

Outside the office, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife Victoria, golfing, fly fishing, traveling, and exploring the Colorado outdoors. A proud Irish-American and member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, he has called Colorado home since 1994. He is passionate about family, lifelong learning, and helping clients make thoughtful financial decisions with confidence and clarity.
